Mediamatic ETEN is located in a green house overlooking a tranquil water front. What better place than to use locally sourced ingredients?
However, it doesn’t stop there! Mediamatic ETEN also has its very own aquaponic garden to grow their own herbs and edible flowers. And while you’re at it, why not try one of their very own Amsterdam crafted organic beers?
‘Join us for some great-tasting and (where possible) locally-sourced food or simply for a crafted Amsterdam brew on our sunny terrace.’ – Mediamatic ETEN

Restaurant de Kas is a great example of how a sustainable minded restaurant should act. The restaurant is located in a set of greenhouses, dating back to the 1900’s and used to belong to the Amsterdam Municipal Nursery.
Being situated in a green house, Restaurant de Kas grows their own vegetables, fruits and herbs in order to create daily set menus, based on the yield of the day.
‘As food tastes best when it is prepared with the freshest local ingredients, we grow our own herbs and vegetables. We daily create one fixed menu based on the harvest of our nursery, and supplemented with the best additional ingredients from local suppliers.’ – Restaurant de Kas
Sit back, relax and enjoy the nutritious food being grown 20 metres from you.
